Has fourteen years experience in the offshore industry, two years as a Deck officer , six years as a Master, three years as a Marine Coordinator/Base Manager/ Marine Advisor and three years as an Operations Manager.
As Deck officer and Master has been involved with supply, towing and anchor handling operations for jack up rigs, lay barges, also working with seismic crew. Has been involved with several long towing operations in West Africa and Mediterranean Sea.
As a Port Captain/Base Manager was responsible for day-to-day operation of seven vessels fleet. Monitoring Ships’ Certificates and arranging visits of Class Society Surveyors and Auditors in order to keep those Certificates up-to-date. Visited the vessels daily to be on top of the vessel’s needs to keep the her running to client’s satisfactory. Was verifying , approving and processing ships’ and base’s requisitions within my financial approval limits. Evaluating Masters’ performance and reported to the Operations Manager.
As Marine Advisor in Chevron Escravos Base, Nigeria has been involved in vessels' audits, accidents investigation, rig move meetings and meetings concerned marine operations.
As an Operations Manager was coordinating operations of fleet of fourteen vessels in Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea providing services for companies such as GUPCO/BP, Rashpetco, IEOC Saipem, Grant Geophysics, Amapetco and BG Tunisia in Sfax, Tunisia.
Have been involved in liaising with clients and subcontractors, assisting in preparation of vessels’ documentation for various tenders. Participated numbers of various meetings with client to obtain information to produce an action plan for continuous improvement in safety and operational wise. Monitoring Planned Maintenance Program and Ships’ documents in order to keep it up-to-date. Keep vessels’ maintained full class, ISM/ISPS and statutory documentation. Was closely cooperating with HSE Department to provide healthy and safe environment on board of the fleet vessels. CSO. Performed Internal Safety and Security Audits. Submitted Vessels’ Daily Activity Report to upper management on daily bases. Reviewed evaluations of the performance of the ships’ officers and crew and advise Personnel Department of potential promotions in this respect.
